Woodinville police officer to lead kids safety class
Rob Dorman, Woodinville's Community Police Officer, will lead a King County Parks class in basic safety designed for kids.
Dorman, who has been a King County police officer for seven years, is a certified instructor of crime prevention topics.
Basic principles will be taught and practiced in dealing with strangers, saying "No," simple defense moves, and developing awareness and observation skills.
This is an overall self-protection and awareness class, not a martial arts course. Fee is $9 for three classes, which will be held Mondays, March 11, 18, and 25, at Kenmore Park, 6910 NE 170th. Ages 4-6 years will meet from 4-4:45 p.m., ages 7-9 from 5-6 p.m.
