Miniature Show at Marymoor
The Marymoor Museum will present a Miniature Show Feb. 3 and 4, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The 28 lifelike miniatures depict a toy shop, an Irish cottage, a fruit and vegetable stand, an attic, and "Mother's Nightmare," among others.
The display will feature the collections of Eastsiders Jo Rissler, Ruth Simon, and Paula McLean, as well as the collection of Nancy Harris of Seattle, whose miniatures have been meticulously created to scales of an inch, a half-inch, and a quarter-inch.
In addition, the Marymoor Museum will display items from its own collection, including the miniature of the familiar Marymoor windmill.
Admission to the Miniature Show is $2. The museum is located in Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE in Redmond. It is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of the Eastside. For more information, call 885-3684.
