Used cars, boats benefit local charity

local charity The Arc wants cars and boats! Through the brand-new Arc Automart Program, The Arc/King County (formerly called the Association for Retarded Citizens) is able to raise funds for local services for people with developmental disabilities via the donation of used cars and boats.
Arc will do the paperwork, arrange pickup of the vehicle or boat, and then verify the donation for tax purposes. Donors will not only be receiving a tax deduction, but will be helping more than 7,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families served by The Arc/King County.
The Arc is a nonprofit organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities such as mental retardation, autism, Downs Syndrome, epilepsy, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and similar disabling conditions.
The Arc requests that a donated vehicle or boat be driveable or only in need of some minor repairs. Towing or pickup of cars and boats will be provided by The Arc within King County. For more information, contact Sally Habegger, 364-6337.
