Obituary: Margurett Elizabeth Stensland

obituary Memorial services were held Jan. 1 at Redmond United Methodist Church for Margurett Stensland, 89, who died Jan. 26 at the Corwin Center at Emerald Heights.
   Mrs. Stensland, a resident of Redmond, was born Jan. 27, 1906 in Seattle to William and Mary Diegel Weiss. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and quilting.
   During WW II, from 1942-1945, she managed the Lake Washington Shipyard lunchroom, and following the war, she owned and operated a small restaurant in Redmond.
   Mrs. Stensland's memberships included the Redmond United Methodist Church, Amaranth, Eastern Star, Junior Nacoman, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
   She is survived by daughter Lois Stowe of Kirkland; sister Mildred Fitzgerald of Redmond; grandchildren Laurie Gogic of Kirkland and Lisa Ross of Redmond; great grandchildren Shawn and Amy Ross of Kirkland and Sofi Gogic of Kirkland.
