   Preschool Storytime, Feb. 20, 26, 27, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Ages 3-8 enjoy a fun-filled half-hour of stories, music, and crafts. Parents welcome.
   Storytime for 2-year-olds, Wednesdays Feb. 21, 28, 9:30 a.m. For ages 2-3 with parent or caregiver.
   Art from the Ashes, Feb. 27, 7 p.m. Dramatic readings performed by local writers and poets, dedicated to the voices of the men, women, and children whose lives were impacted by the Holocaust. For children in grades 6 and up and adults.
   Mother Goose on the Loose, Feb. 28, 10:30 a.m. Stories, fingerplays, and songs for parent and child age 12-24 months. No need to register.
   Leapin' Lizards: It's Leap Year! Feb. 29, 4 p.m. Make a gecko finger puppet and hear somes scaly stories.
   Tax Help, Wednesdays through Apr. 11, 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Saturdays through Apr. 13, 2-4 p.m. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) helps prepare income tax returns. Call the library for an appointment.

   Preserving Your Photos, Feb. 28, 7-9 p.m. Join Susan Owens to learn the basics of caring for old and new photogreaphs. For all ages; please register.
   How to Find It: Free Library Skills Classes, Wednesdays, 9:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Library staff will provide a tour and help with projects. Sign up at Information Desk.

   Leap Day Lollapalooza! Feb. 29, 4 p.m. Take advantage of this extra day in February and come to the library for some special activities. For ages 5-12.
   Info Power! Wednesdays 7:30 p.m. for adults and teens; Thursdays, 4 p.m. for ages 8 and older. Learn how to use the compuuterized library catalog and the Internet Gateway in half-hour sessions. Registration is not required.

   Used Book Sale, Feb. 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Shop for used books in good condition, all at bargain basement prices. Paperbacks, hardbacks for children and adults; puzzles too. Located in lower level of the Lake Forest Park Towne Center.

   Meet Helen Thayer, Feb. 28, 7 p.m. Share the adventures of the lone explorer who at the age of 50 walked to the magnetic North Pole with only her dog Charlie, and a few years later, with her husband, trekked and kayaked 1,200 miles in the Amazon jungle and walked Africa. Slides, stories, Charlie (the dog) in person; books available for purchase and autographs.
   Color Changers, Feb. 29, 7 p.m. Local artist Sherry Laatsch turns wild and wacky science experiments about color and light into a work of art. Ages 6 and up join the fun as she shows how to make paper stained glass windows (under 6 welcome with adult assistance).
   Toddler Time, Wednesdays through Mar. 6, 10 a.m. For ages 2-3 with adult.
   Stories for the Afternoon, Thursdays through Mar. 7, 1:30 p.m. Kindergartners, homeschoolers, and families especially welcome; stories, songs, and special activities for ages 4-8.
