Denice's Place Cafe returns to the basics
A few weeks ago, Denice's Place Cafe opened in the Gateway Plaza, just five minutes from either Woodinville or Totem Lake on NE 160th. The new cafe features home cooking.
"What our customers will find is back-to-basics good food served with a good attitude," said owner Denice Viehmann, a Woodinville resident. "There's always good food and quick service with a warm smile here."
Along with traditional breakfast and lunch offerings, which are both served all day, special menu additions are added daily.
A remarkable feature of Denice's Place is her love of kids. Denice, who is a doting grandmother, works hard to make sure children are happy and comfortable, with a special kids' menu and a toy box to keep the little ones happy.
Opening the doors at 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, Denice tempts even the busiest commuter with a quick stop for fresh hot coffee or a latte-to-go along with a homemade muffin or cinnamon roll.
The cafe is offering a special offer through the end of February. Just mention the "get acquainted pancake breakfast special" and you will be served two blueberry honey-wheat pancakes, two eggs, two sausage links, and homefried potatoes for $2.99.
Hours for the new cafe are Mon.-Fri., 6 a.m.-3 p.m.; Sat.-Sun., 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Call 483-9751 for information.
