Youth become first-rate sitters in Camp Fire program

babysitting program Youth in grades 5 through 7 will learn skills they need to be first-class babysitters, including basic care like diapering and feeding, in Camp Fire's Babysitting Course at the Eastside Camp Fire office in Redmond's Family Resource Center, Saturdays, March 30 & April 6, 10 to 2. Cost is $22.
   Through practice and demonstrations, youth learn how to manage the behavior of young children and to play with them responsively. They also learn how to prevent and handle emergencies, including simple first aid.
   The Babysitter's Handbook, given to each participant, serves as an on-the-job reference. Each youth is awarded a certificate upon completion of Camp Fire's Babysitting Course.
