Dispute Resolution Center sets training date
Training for intake volunteers at the Dispute Resolution Center in Everett will be held Thursday, Feb. 29, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The eight-hour training gives help on conciliation, information on mediation, and intake procedures to prepare volunteers to work as intake counselors at the center.
Intake counselors act as peacemakers when people call or walk in to obtain factual information, or to schedule a mediation to help them resolve disputes with landlords, tenants, neighbors, family, employers, employees, or others.
Training is free. However, graduates are expected to volunteer for an average of four hours per week for six months.
To reserve a spot, call the DRC at 1-800-280-4770 today and talk to John about the Intake Counselor training session on Feb. 29.
