County Council committee looking at UPD ordinance
The Blakely Ridge and proposed Northridge urban planned developments may soon be redefined as "fully contained communities," in an attempt to bring the developments into compliance with the state's Growth Management Act.
The action also seeks to comply with the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board decision and order to delete, justify, or bring the projects into compliance with the Growth Management Act by making them "fully contained communities" by Mar. 15, 1996.
The King County Council Growth Management, Housing and Environment Committee will be addressing and possibly taking action on the ordinance at the Feb. 21 meeting, 9:30 a.m., Room 402, King County Courthouse, Seattle.
