Farmers Market sets season opening
The Woodinville Farmers Market will be opening Saturday, Mar. 30, and needs several volunteers, including a Special Events Coordinator and people to head up individual events throughout the season.
Events include a Tricycle Parade on Mother's Day; a Strawberry Festival; Pumpkin Carving Contest and Pumpkin Patch; Bike Rides on the Slough; Produce Fair; Chef's Cooking Demonstration; Father's Day; Fruit Pie Eating contest; Flower Show; and others.
Attention to detail, ability to work with a variety of community members, and an ability to have fun are needed. Call 487-3037 or 788-3697 if you would like to help.
The second volunteer position is scheduling teams of mostly teens that help each Saturday morning and afternoon to set-up the market. A list of people is available; the coordinator will work with the market manager and have everyone ready to go each Saturday. Needed is a person who likes working with teens and who is available for about 30 minutes a week. Call 487-3037.
