Sign-ups for Challenger Baseball

District 8 Little League will again form its Challenger Baseball program for children with special needs. The program is available to ages 5 to 20 or the completion of high school. The program is intended to give disabled children the opportunities available to mainstream kids. There is no scoring in the games and no hardnosed competition, but plenty of fun. Players must supply their own gloves, but all other equipment, including uniforms, will be provided. Sign-ups will be held March 29 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. For information or location, call Rita Glynn at 488-9768 or Bev Newsome at 483-9783.

Baseball club holds auction

The community is invited to the Woodinville Baseball Club's annual auction Mar. 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bear Creek Country Club. The event provides funding for the baseball program serving boys ages 13-18. The evening will include dinner, a silent auction, and a live auction with professional auctioneers. For ticket information, call Jan Daley at 485-7074.
