School receives grant from state

state grant Hollywood Hill Elementary has been notified that it will receive state funds from the Puget Sound Water Quality Authority to support the Sammamish Splash Project during the 1996-97 school year.
The project will include a salmon aquarium and tree planting at the Sammamish River. Margaret Weidner, a kindergarten parent at the school, served as coordinator for the Splash Project.
Michelle Williams, principal of Hollywood Hill, was amazed at how the project blossomed. "This has been a perfect example of parents, teachers, community, and businesses all working together for a worthwhile program," Williams said. "Ultimately, this program will increase the awareness of families about our environment."
Weidner also announced financial support for the project would come from Woodinville businesses, including: First Interstate Bank, Key Bank, U.S. Bank, McLendon Hardware, and Clark Productions.
