DECA National Conference Ten students from Woodinville High School are getting ready for a trip to Orlando, Florida, on April 24 to compete in the DECA National Conference, but while they are working hard to finance the trip, the group is also going to need help from the community.
DECA is a nationwide program of high school marketing clubs. Members of the Woodinville club qualified for the national competition Feb. 29 and Mar. 2 at the State Career Development Conference where the students took a written test and performed role-plays before judges who evaluated their marketing skills.
DECA members attending the national competition include: Jeff Richards, Amy Addams, Sarah Ellis, Jaime Meyer, Jill Gregson, Jennie Koeplin, Ashlie Van Winkle, Jason Wirth, and Brandon Lasby. Brooke Johnson will also make the trip to participate in the Leadership Academy.
