   Highlighting the week in prep sports was a big win for WOODINVILLE baseball over Newport, 10-3. Newport sits at second in the Crest division, opposite the Falcons second place in the Crown (10-4 overall), and the Falcons are currently tied with them in league play (8-4).
   BOTHELL girls fastpitch remains untouchable, light-years ahead in the Kingco conference, unbeaten in league (12-0) and 13-1 overall. INGLEMOOR is right behind them at 11-1 in league, 12-2 overall. The Vikings and the Cougars square off one last time on Apr. 29 at Inglemoor at 7 p.m.

Boys Baseball

   Apr. 12: WOODINVILLE stung Sammamish, 11-3.
   Apr. 13: BOTHELL fell to O'Dea in non-league action, 13-6.
   Apr. 15: WOODINVILLE nipped Newport, 10-3. Issaquah stymied INGLEMOOR, 3-0.
   Apr. 16: Newport topped INGLEMOOR, 5-3. BOTHELL stymied Interlake, 8-5.
   Apr. 17: INGLEMOOR fell to Interlake, 12-6. WOODINVILLE dropped Issaquah, 6-5 in eight innings. BOTHELL topped Mercer Island, 4-3.
   Apr. 18: BOTHELL blasted Bellevue, 14-6.

Boys soccer

   Apr. 12: With a goal by Ryan Hamilton from Adam Heck, and the game-winner by Jon Pilz on a feed from Mike Sorenson and Tom Greenwood, INGLEMOOR edged BOTHELL, 2-1. The lone Cougar goal was scored by Kevin Abner.
   It was a Savage show last week as Scott Savage tallied two goals and an assist to launch WOODINVILLE over Mercer Island, 3-2. Kurt Ahlstrand notched a goal for the Falcons on a Savage feed and Savage scored on a penalty kick and on a feed from Scott Gordon and Ahlstrand.
   Apr. 18: BOTHELL downed Everett in non-league action, 2-1, with both goals scored by Ryan Middleton on feeds from Kris Sorenson and Travis Morgan.

Boys track and field

   Apr. 13: In spite of an impressive show by BOTHELL's Jason Fryberg, who took second in the 1,600 (4:14.87), the Cougars placed 28th in the Pasco Invitational with 8 points. WOODINVILLE's Shawn Murphy won 2nd place in the 800 (1:57.82).

Girls track and field

   Apr. 13: Sarah Axley placed in two events (2nd: 100m, 13.0; 5th: 200, 26.48) as BOTHELL placed 26th at the Pasco Invitational with 12 points. WOODINVILLE's Krissi Mathers placed 8th in the 1,600 (5:19.81).
