May is National Senior Citizens Month

National Senior Citizens Month From Senior Services of King County
How do I find a good nursing home for my mother? Who can I call to take my grandfather to the doctor when I work? I'm on Social Security--where can I get affordable repairs to my home?
All tough questions with one thing in common, an easy answer: call Senior Services!
May is National Senior Citizens month and there's not a better time to get acquainted with the largest non-profit agency serving seniors in Washington State. Whether it's serving 720,000 meals a year, or providing 15,000 rides to seniors a year, or creating an outreach program for the homebound, Senior Services is there to help.
Senior Services' information and assistance program receives over 200 calls for help each day, runs 10 adult day health centers and 11 senior community centers, and matches up people to allow seniors to stay in their homes longer and at the same time provide affordable housing for people of all ages.
With all that, there are still thousands of people we can't help because they don't know we're there. We are beginning an extensive campaign to get the word out that Senior Services exists to make sure not one senior in our community goes undernourished or without proper medical care.
