Fix the bump in the road
There has been a hump or bump in the middle of the Woodinville-Duvall Rd., just west of the Water District office, at about 17220 NE 185th St. since December 1995. The bump was caused by the winter frost.
The King County roads department has been called a couple of times. Trucks and cars going over that bump make a lot of noise, day and night, and the heavier trucks even shake my house.
I believe maybe the roads department put some--I'll label them sandwich boards--on the shoulders at that address, yesterday afternoon. But both of them have been knocked down. One happened between 11 p.m. Friday night and 1 a.m. the next morning; another was just knocked down 10 a.m. Saturday morning. I heard it fall. I didn't see what hit it.
But those things don't keep the cars from driving on the shoulders of that stretch of road. It's dangerous for people who need to be out there to even get the mail.
What does it take to get something done?
