Mother's Day: Treat your mother to a special day

   Join the Woodinville Lions Club on Mother's Day for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For mothers and daughters, breakfast is free. For others, the cost is adults, $2.50, and children under 12, $2.    Consider honoring your mother with a gift in her honor to "Mothers In Need," a YWCA program that helps women who are need. Call 461-4432.

   Woodland Park Zoo will host a special Mother's Day Breakfast at the Rain Forest Cafe May 12 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Advance reservation required. Call 684-4800.

   Moms will receive a gift from the Cougar Mountain Zoological Park in Issaquah May 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 392-6278.

   The Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle Asian Art Museum will present a special day for mothers May 12 with special offers, events, and exhibitions. Every mom will receive a special gift. Call 654-3100.

   Six unique private gardens in Madison Park will be open for tour on Mother's day, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will receive a guide book with descriptions and maps of each garden. Refreshments will be served. Tickets must be reserved by May 8. Call 527-1794.

   The "Women's World of Coffee" will begin featuring coffee bean roasting companies owned by women in time for Mother's Day. The company will focus on one roaster each month, sending a one-pound sampler, newsletter, and a confection to members. Call 800-528-2728.

   The Victoria Clipper's annual Mother's Day Cruise to Kiana Lodge will depart from Pier 69 May 12 at 10 a.m. Mothers will receive a special corsage at check-in and all passengers will enjoy champagne and a brunch, including alder-roasted salmon. Call 448-5000.
