Bothell holds meeting on parks projects

parks projects The City of Bothell Parks and Recreation Board is continuing the process of gathering public input about potential projects to be considered for placement by the City of Bothell on the proposed King County Future Funding Initiative slated for September, 1996.
   If the bond election is successful, Bothell will receive approximately $1.2 million dollars for active parks and recreation projects.
   As part of the review process, the Parks and Recreation Board will be hosting a public meeting May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Northshore Senior Center to review potential project nominations.
   Projects under consideration include remodeling and refurbishment of the Northshore/Ruiz-Costie Pool into a Community Aquatics Center; expansion and redevelopment of the Park at Bothell Landing; and improvements to the Northshore School District athletic fields.
   Citizens are encouraged to attend the public meeting and provide the Parks and Recreation Board with comments regarding these projects as well as any other active park and recreation projects that meet the County Park Bond guidelines. Those unable to attend may also submit written comments to the Bothell Parks and Recreation Board at 18305 101st Ave. NE, Bothell, WA 98011.
   The Bothell City Council is scheduled to continue its deliberations regarding the potential nomination of Bothell projects to King County at its regular meeting May 20, 6 p.m. The public is also encouraged to attend this meeting to provide input to the council. Call 486-3256 for more information.
