Woodinville High School's drama department will be performing the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Street Scene by Elmer Rice, May 17, 18, 23, and 24.
Written in the late 1920s, the play is a "panorama of the comedy and tragedy of daily life in an old tenement house in New York City." The house, filled with immigrants from different parts of the world who have come to America to seek their fortunes, serves as the setting for racial and political differences as they learn to live together while trapped in poverty.
Darrel Olson, Amy Addams, Shana Melanson, Heidi Litchfield, Steve Marshall, Stacey Rapp, T.J. Shefner, Matt Larson, Tim Lyon, and Jeff Ward lead the cast of 30 WHS students.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling 788-4976; cost is $6 for adults, $4.50 for students and senior citizens.
