BOTHELL--Matthew Wolff and Boy Scout Troop 64 were honored by the Bothell City Council last week for their honesty, integrity, and courage after Wolff had discovered and returned four gold coins discovered on city property during a cleanup project.
"We are proud of Matthew for making the right decision and we are supportive of all the young people in our community who are displaying such fine values as they mature," said Bothell Mayor John Curtin.
Wolff and the 22 members of the troop received certificates of appreciation from the City Council and Gov. Mike Lowry, who added his commendations for the scouts' honesty and moral courage.
The City Council unveiled a framed display of the four gold coins and a plaque recognizing Wolff.
