Principal named for Junior High #6

principal named At its meeting May 14, the Northshore School Board approved the selection of Larry Little as planning principal for Northshore School District's Junior High #6, scheduled to open in fall 1997. Little is currently vice-principal at Franklin Pierce School in Tacoma.
   Little, who holds both teacher and principal certification, has worked in education 26 years, 22 at the middle or junior high school level. He has worked in four different school districts: Issaquah; Lake Washington; Juneau, Alaska; and Franklin Pierce.
   He has experience as a junior high teacher of science, math, and health; as an activities coordinator for junior high athletics, activities, and ASB budget; and as a vice principal in the middle, junior high, and high school levels.
   During the 1996-97 school year, Little will work in a planning capacity finalizing details on the building's facilities and determining equipment, furnishing, textbook, and supply needs. During late fall, he will be joined by a planning team that will work with him on programs, curriculum, and instructional design.
   Little and his wife, a former zone superintendent for Seattle Public Schools, live in West Seattle. They have three grown children.
