Even as the Supersonics played the Jazz in game six of the NBA Western Conference Finals, another team in green was squaring off against longtime hoop rivals. The annual Woodinville High School Student/Faculty basketball game was underway.
The game was, as always, quite close, with a final score of 65-61 in favor of the yellow-clad faculty team.
This year's faculty lineup included Steve Segadelli, Julie Rusk, Jay McGinness, Allen Miedema, Hjalmer Anderson, Darcy Vitulli-Stearns, Steve Johnson, and Jim Rice.
Segadelli was the driving force of the '96 Falcon Challenge. By making shots on offense and blocking them on defense, Segadelli was the teachers' MVP.
The students did not simply give away the game, however. The contest was at times a pitched battle, with cheerleaders lending their support.
