Bothell kicks off annual Freedom Festival this week
The annual Bothell Freedom Festival begins this week with a citywide sidewalk sale running June 26 to July 3.
On June 29, The Battle of Lexington will be "fought" in downtown Bothell at 11 a.m. and Country Village at 12:30 p.m.
KOMO's T. Wheedle will make a personal appearance in Country Village from 12:30-2:30 p.m., followed by the Children's Theatre dedication at 1:30 p.m., with live music, pony rides, face painting, and the Bothell Historical Society's "treasure box."
On July 3, the community can dance to Cheryl Arnold & the Blue Mariah from 7-9 p.m. on Festival Street (101st & Main in downtown Bothell).
July 4 events include a softball tournament starting at 8 a.m. at the Bothell Business Parks, with children's and family activities from 9-11 a.m. and again from 2-4 p.m.
Bothell's famous July 4 parade begins at 1:30 p.m. (the Children's Parade at 11:30 a.m.) along Main Street in downtown Bothell.
The Battle of Lexington will be re-enacted at Bothell Landing at 2 p.m.
