Northshore Senior Center, 10201 E. Riverside Drive, Bothell, 487-2441.

   Learn how to care for your aging and/or ailing pet July 16, 1-2:45 p.m. Then, from 3 to 4:45 p.m., learn about emotions and grieving following the death of a pet. $8/$10.

   A free refresher course on fire safety in your home and kitchen will be presented July 11 from 1 to 2 p.m.

   Learn about Habitat for Humanity July 15 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

   Attend a free workshop on mutual funds July 12, 1-2:30 p.m.

   Dr. Leon Driss will present the most common cancers among older adults July 16 from 12:45 to 2 p.m.

   Volunteers are needed to be lunch helpers, receptionists, and roustabouts for special events.

   Sharing and Caring is a support group for those concerned about staying well through life's transitions. Meets Wednesdays from 1 to 2 p.m.

   Early Stage Memory Loss Group, first and third Tues., 8:30-10:30 a.m.

   Acrylic Painting, Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.-12 noon. Attend an acrylic painting class and learn the principles of design and elements of art. Cost, $30 members/$35 non-members. Beginners welcome.

   Enjoy dinner and the vivacious songs and honky-tonk piano of the Mel Trio, July 11 at 5 p.m. at the Kirkland Senior Center. Cost is $5. Purchase tickets in advance.
