Schoolhouse Dinner Theatre adds to Woodinville's entertainment repertoire
Live Dixieland music and a joyful rendition of the musical Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, paired with a gourmet dinner by a renowned chef, marked the debut this month of Woodinville's newest venue for a night out: The Hollywood Schoolhouse Dinner Theatre.
Rain City Productions presented the musical, noted chef Hal Sapadin presented the dinner, and the old Hollywood Schoolhouse, with its nostalgic antiques, whimsical memorabilia, and elegant surroundings, provided the unique setting.
The historic Schoolhouse has undergone a host of transitions, until Jim and Rosemary McAuliffe's remodel endowed the venerable site with a personality that is a perfect complement to its history.
The dinner theatre is a chance for visitors to experience live performances locally by dedicated theatre groups and enjoy the flavor of the old building.
There is one more performance of Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn on Sunday, July 28, beginning at 4 p.m. Tickets are $40; call 481-7925 for reservations.
