The children and grandchildren of Dick and Jean Middaugh will host an open house in honor of the couple's 50th wedding anniversary. The Middaughs were married Aug. 10, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, and moved to Woodinville in 1956.
The Middaughs have been active in the community, taking part in the Kenmore Drill Team, the North Queen's Drill Team, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Little League.
Mr. Middaugh retired from Darigold in 1988. Since that time, the two have enjoyed spending time with their children and their seven grandchildren. Fishing and traveling throughout Washington State have also been favorite pastimes for the couple.
Their children are Rick Middaugh and his wife Barb of Woodinville; Larry Middaugh of Woodinville; and Robin Herrera and her husband Phil of Federal Way.
The grandchildren include Rich and Bridget Middaugh of Woodinville; Callie and Dustin Middaugh of North Bend; and Amanda, Aaron, and Colton Herrera of Federal Way.
