Music, food and fun at Bothell Fair
The 26th Greater Bothell Arts Fair, a Seafair sanctioned event, will be held Aug. 9, 8 to 11 p.m., Aug. 10, 10-8, and Aug. 11, 10-6, at the Anderson School, 18603 Bothell Way NE.
Scheduled events include a street dance Friday night featuring the Bowling Stones playing '50s and '60s rock 'n' roll with Barry Curtis of the Kingsmen.
Main stage entertainment on Saturday will include the Sammamish Sublimation Ragtime Band (10 a.m.-noon); Jon Luongo, circus performer (noon-1p.m., 2-3 p.m. 5:30-6 p.m.); the Bellevue Philharmonic Brass Quartet (1-2 p.m.); Pamela Cook playing country rock blues (4-5:30 p.m.); and Freddy James' Rockin' 88 (6-8 p.m.).
Sunday morning main stage entertainment will feature gospel music by the Urban Rhythms Gospel Choir (10-11 a.m. and noon-1 p.m.) and country and gospel by Mary Wiles (11 a.m.-noon and 1-2 p.m.). Hear Jim Basnight's eclectic, funky fun from 2-3 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. Guitar Slim plays rhythm and blues from 5-6 p.m.
Janet Rayor, a butterfly on stilts, will perform Sat. from 1-3 p.m. and again on Sun. from 3 to 5 p.m.
Special this year at the fair will be Madame Hosoye Kodama, who will present the art of Japanese flower design in the fine arts room Saturday at 1 p.m.
