On July 28 at 10:30 p.m., police stopped a car for failing to signal a right turn. In the car was an open 12-pack of Red Dog beer. The 17-year-old driver and the passenger were arrested on the charge of minors in possession. Police searched the car and also found a bag of what appeared to be marijuana and a pipe. The driver took responsibility for the items. The two were released, but MIP charges are pending.
In the early morning hours of July 30, a group of 10 mailbox bombers, ranging in age from 13 to 16, was discovered when several suspects were caught bombing a mailbox with an M-80 at a home on the 17000 block of 146 Pl. NE. The same mailbox had been bombed with M-80s by the suspects two other times since July 6. The suspects are students of Northshore Junior High, Woodinville High School, and Eastside Catholic.
At approximately 4 p.m. July 30, a 34-year-old man brought a forged prescription to a local drug store. When the attending pharmacist called to check the prescription, the suspect left hastily.
