New Goodwill donation stations
Seattle Goodwill and King County Metro have installed a new donation sites at Woodinville Park & Ride, NE 179th and 140th Ave. NE. The station is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wine festival needs volunteers
Volunteers are needed for "A Day in the Vineyard" on September 2. Two-hour shifts are available between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and during early morning preparations. For more information, call 481-8300, or stop by the Woodinville Chamber of Commerce.
Help a homeless or low-income child
Homeless or low-income children will be returning to school with a new outfit and school supplies through the YWCA's School Days Project. Donors can shop for and purchase a new outfit, school supplies, and backpack for a specific child, or donate funds. This is a great project for individuals, churches, civic groups, employee groups, or for parents to do with their own children. For more information, call 461-3214.
Iris Society celebrates anniversary
The King County Iris Society invites the public to help celebrate their 50th anniversary by attending two iris sales, to be held this month on Aug. 17, and again on Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Crossroads Shopping Center in Bellevue. Call 235-7065 or 822-3875 for more information.
Harrison Foundation needs volunteers
The Sonja L. Harrison Foundation for Seniors is seeking volunteers to assist with on-site promotion and food sales at selected supermarkets in Bothell, Juanita, Kenmore, Inglewood, and Totem Lake from Aug. 24-Sept. 14.
