The Emerald String Trio will give a benefit performance August 25 at 3 p.m. at Wilder Elementary School.
The event will raise money for the Remy Foundation for Batten's Disease, a hereditary disease which attacks the central nervous system.
Nancy Douglas, whose son Remy suffers from the disease, is organizing the performance in an effort to raise money for medical research and to educate the public about the relatively unknown disease.
Tickets are being sold for $10 for adults, and $6 for children, seniors, and handicapped. For information or to make donations, call 881-1572.
