Disability Board has openings
The King County Board for the Developmental Disabilities is seeking residents of King County interested in serving on the Board. The County seeks a wide variety of ethnic group, occupational, geographic, and consumer representation on its boards.
The King County Board for Developmental Disabilities is a 15-member statutory citizens Board which provides oversight of community supports and services for the citizens of the County who have mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, or other neurological impairments. The Board conducts long-range planning, makes recommendations on the use of available funds, and advocates for unmet service needs.
Prospective Board members need not have experience in the field of developmental disabilities but should have a strong interest in improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
