Northshore Chamber luncheon

   The Northshore Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly membership luncheon Sept. 4 at the Mill Creek Country Club from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Guest speakers will be Dr. Karen Forys, Superintendent, Northshore School District; and Paul Cowles, Chair of the Eastside Higher Education Committee. Their topic will be "Partnership and Access: Education Issues Facing Us All." The cost is $15 for members with reservations; $18 for non-members and those without reservations. Business & Professional Women

   Nine members of the Business & Professional Women (South Snohomish County Chapter) Board of Directors met Aug. 17 to strategize the direction and focus of the chapter during the coming year. Set in motion at that time was the group's goal of increasing the chapter's membership by 75% this year. The BPW South Snohomish County meets on the second Thursday of the month from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Landmark Inn Best Western Hotel in Lynnwood. For reservations, call 743-0779.

Boutique celebrates anniversary

   Twice Is Nice Boutique, located on the first floor of the American Legion Building in Bothell, is celebrating their 17th anniversary this month. Special events at the boutique include a 25% discount for lady senior citizens on Mondays and style shows presentations for organizations.

New meeting room

   Country Village, located 2 miles north of Bothell, has announced the opening of a new meeting room. The new room accomodates up to 60 people and is available on a weekly, monthly, or one-time-only basis. Call 402-9818 or 483-2250 for information.
