BOTHELL--Late Saturday night, emergency crews responded to a multiple-injury accident on Bothell-Everett Highway which sent three local residents to the hospital after their car struck a tree.
The driver, a 23-year-old Bothell man, suffered hip and facial injuries after he turned off of northbound Bothell-Everett Highway onto 10th Avenue SE, losing control of his 1976 Toyota Corolla, and slamming into a fence and then a tree at about 12:30 a.m.
Two passengers, both from Bothell, were also injured in the accident. A 23-year-old man received facial injuries and a 22-year-old man received shoulder injuries.
All were transported to area hospitals and the two passengers were released after treatment. The driver is continuing to recover.
Police say speed and alcohol may be contributing factors in the cause of the accident.
