   Center Stage at the Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island will kick off its 1996-97 season with the Northwest premiere of The Family Business on Oct. 24. Call 232-7115.

   Issaquah's Village Theatre will open its season with the world premiere of City Kid Sept. 26 through Nov. 3 with performances Wednesday through Sunday. Tickets available by calling 392-1942.

   Tickets are on sale now for Grease playing Sept. 10-15 and Showboat, Sept. 9-Oct. 19. Both are at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. Call 292-ARTS.

   Glass Houses, a musical parable about the seven deadly sins set in a real estate office, takes place in the Northwest Actors Studio Main Stage, 1100 E Pike St., Seattle. Remaining performances are at 8 p.m. September 6-7. For reservations or information, call 324-6328.
