All girls, kindergarten to 3rd grade, who are interested in finding out more about Girl Scouts are invited to a meeting at Cottage Lake Park Sept. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. Crafts, snacks, and lots of information will be available. For additional information, call 883-8398.
Annual Koi Show at Country Village
The 5th annual Koi Show will be held Sept. 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Country Village, Bothell. The Washington Koi and Water Garden Society promotes the hobbies of both koi keeping and water gardening.
Fish are presented in the traditional Japanese 13 color pattern categories, by size, in addition to longfin and jumbo classes. Fish qualify for the Jumbo class if they are over 30 inches long. And for those who have a favorite homely fish, there is a Dagoi award for the ugliest fish. As in previous years, judging takes place on Saturday, with an auction and raffle on Sunday.

Flower exhibit at the library
The 1996 Fall Exhibit of the Ohara School of Ikebana will be held on Sept. 7 and 8. This presentation of Japanese flower arrangement will take place at the Bellevue Public Library from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, call 788-4747.
Boat show set
The Shilshole Boats Afloat Show will take place at the Shilshole Bay Marina Sept. 11-15 with nearly 100 exhibitors displaying the latest in boating, accessories, and fishing equipment. Call 682-3699.
Tour Medina's 'Secret Gardens'
Secret Gardens of Medina is set for Sept. 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is by ticket and transportation by private van. A limited number of tickets will be sold in advance at $20, or $25 on tour day. Refreshments will be served all day, and there will be a plant sale and organ concert. For tickets, call 206-454-9541.
