Wine and food classes at Ste. Michelle
The next class in Chateau Ste. Michelle's "An Insider's Look at the World of Wine" series will be held Sept. 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. This wine appreciation class will take a look into France's major wine growing regions.
Participants will taste and compare French wines produced in many different styles and learn how they have inspired Northwest winemakers. The class is held in the Chateau Barrel Room and is by reservation only. Space is limited and cost is $30-$35.
Culinary director and television personality John Sarich will host "Vineyard Harvest Wine Tasting" Sept. 12 at noon. The class will sample freshly harvested grapes and newly released wines along with recipe suggestions. The focus will be on the earthy, robust flavors of fall. There is no charge for this event, and reservations are not required.
The second offering of the "Evening of Wine & Food with John Sarich" series will feature an Autumn Solstice Celebration Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. Sarich's menu will be specially selected wines.
These dinners are held in the historic Manor House; cost is $95 per person and reservations are required.
