Fire causes $150,000 in damage
A fire last Wednesday evening sent a girl in her mid-teens running to the neighbors to call 911 after incense burning in a plastic bottle ignited a blaze which damaged much of the upstairs, hallway, and attic of the family's split-level home.
Three engines and more than 20 fire personnel spent nearly 20 minutes controlling the blaze in the 11740 block of NE 148th Place. The fire caused $150,000 in damages to the upstairs with heat and smoke damage throughout the home.
No one was injured by the fire. The Red Cross were called and may have assisted the family.
