Monroe artist selected for Pacific Rim Wildlife Show
Local artist Hulan Fleming of Monroe has been selected from more than 300 artists across North America to participate in the prestigious Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show (PRWAS).
The show is the largest of its kind on the West Coast and will be held at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall Sept. 27-29.
Fleming's oil paintings capture the qualities of mood and light in his luminous portrayals of the West, the seas, and wildlife. His representations of Indian encampments at night are most popular.
Fleming is a published artist who was one of the top 100 in the '87, '92, '94, '95, and '96 National Arts for the Parks' competitions. His work has been made into prints and cards and shown in numerous museums and galleries.
Currently his paintings are featured locally at My Gallery in Bothell.
