Residents asked to beautify park

park beautification The City of Woodinville is inviting residents to help enhance the Woodinville Heights Neighborhood Park by planting native shrubs and other vegetation on Sept. 28 beginning at 10 a.m.
   Volunteers attending the event will help the city plant hundreds of native shrubs and wetland vegetation along the small stream and trail below the park's playground area. The new plants will improve wildlife habitat and enhance the beauty of this neighborhood resource.
   Residents interested in participating in the event should meet on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at Woodinville Heights Neighborhood Park, located off Northeast Woodinville-Duvall Road. Volunteers should wear old work clothes and shoes and bring gloves and planting tools if they can. The city will provide tools for those without.
