Recycle planting pots

Plant Pot Drop Spot The annual Plant Pot Drop Spot nursery container recycling event will be held Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Molbak's Nursery, 13625 NE 175th in Woodinville (483-5000) and Wileywood Nursery, 17414 Bothell Way SE in Mill Creek (481-9768).
   Both the public and horticultural industry workers can return their empty plastic plant pots at this time. Nursery volunteers will be on site to accept and sort pots. Nursery growers and anyone else needing free pots are urged to pick up what they need by the end of the day.
   The nurseries will accept clean reusable plastic plant pots and plastic flats. Shake out all soil and other dirt and sort them by size. Volunteers will further sort the pots for distribution to local plant growers.
   Plastic pots smaller than one gallon (6 inches round or square), wooden or cardboard flats, pulp or clay pots, wooden barrels, or any other plastic containers of common household use cannot be accepted.
