Celebrate autumn at Ste. Michelle
Celebrate the coming of fall with "An Evening of Wine and Food with John Sarich" Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at Chateau Ste. Michelle. The menu will include seasonal favorites including golden chanterelles, Columbia River sturgeon, and white king salmon. Specially selected wines will highlight the autumn flavors. Sarich will discuss each course and the wines which will be specially selected to highlight the autumn flavors.
Award honors seniors
Kentucky Fried Chicken announces the second annual Colonel's Way Award, a national program celebrating the outstanding achievements of senior citizens in the arts, business, community service, education, family, and sports. The awards program is open to the public, and anyone can nominate a senior 60 years of age or older by submitting an essay describing how the senior has made a significant contribution later in life. Free programs at Bothell Library
Bothell Regional Library will be the site of three free Eastside Mental Health programs. Times for all of them are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. "Changing Families in the '90s" will be held Sept. 26; "Beating the Blues" is planned for Oct. 1; and "Coping With Stress" will be addressed Nov. 18. Children's play therapy
Lake Washington Human Services in Totem Lake will hold a children's play therapy free introductory workshop on Sept. 14 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The family-integrated program provides affordable, effective counseling for children, ages 5-12, with emotional and/or behavioral problems. Call 814-0907.
Iris Society sale
