Metro Transit announces changes
The first new bus service under King County's Six-Year Transit Development Plan begins Sept.21. Riders should check the new blue timetables to see if service revisions affect their routes.
Also, riders with disabilities should check the new timetables for schedule adjustments on routes now providing accessible service. Timetables are available on buses and at Metro information racks at businesses and libraries throughout King County.
Changes on the Eastside include:

- A new route 231 will offer neighborhood service for north Kirkland. Small buses will operate a two-way loop hourly between the Kirkland Transit Center and the Totem Lake area from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- New route 239 will use small buses to provide two-way rush-hour service between residential and employment centers at Totem Lake and Overlake.
