A year ago, the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade church school classes at Northshore United Church of Christ decided to use their Sunday School offerings to help the Prospect United Church of Christ Preschool on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
The church's youth fellowship group and junior and senior high school students also joined the effort, and a Mother's Day dinner was held at the church.
Proceeds from this event went to help provide tuition scholarships for the low-income families at the Seattle preschool.
The Women's Fellowship at Northshore United Church of Christ provided the noon meal recently for the homeless women who gather weekly at the Church of Mary Magdalene in downtown Seattle. Jane Nettleton and Kathie Forman headed the project, in which 12 women cooked, packaged, and served the meal.
