Carbon monoxide leak of possible interest in Jones shooting case
The house where Bernice Jones shot her husband and where two people recently died from carbon monoxide from a faulty lap pool heater may be prompting a second look at the Jones case.
Jeff Cohen, Jones' lawyer, says they "may explore" the connection, "and will take steps after that consideration, if they are necessary."
Jones was sentenced to 10 years in prison last May for the Sept. 29, 1995 shooting death of her husband, Armstead U. Jones, in their house at 17106 232nd Ave. NE, off the Old Woodinville-Duvall Road.
Laura Michelle Montani, a 39-year-old female and Lloyd Wilbur Brown, her 50-year-old husband, were found dead on Aug. 29 in the same house.
