No injuries in Dinner Train derailment

derailment One of the empty cars on the Spirit of Washington dinner train jumped the tracks after missing a switch at 1:20 p.m. Sept. 14, causing nearly 300 passengers to be bused back to their cars in Renton.
No one was injured when the derailing occurred near NE 175th Street and Woodinville-Redmond Road in downtown Woodinville. Crews were able to detach the car, enabling the diners to make it to Columbia Winery, but the train could not return to Renton because of the way the car fell.
