Locke and Craswell to square off in statewide televised gubernatorial debate

gubernatorial debate Democrat Gary Lock and presumed GOP nominee Ellen Craswell will meet Sept. 26 in the first televised gubernatorial debate of the 1996 campaign.
   The debate, presented by the Association of Washington Business (AWB), will be televised by KOMO-TV (channel 4) at 11:35 p.m. The debate will also be carried live on KOMO-AM radio and KVI radio in Seattle.
   The summit will also feature a panel of political columnists trading perspectives on the upcoming elections and issues facing the Washington economy and business. Finally, the state's top legislative leaders will give their views on how the 1996 election may affect the political balance in the 1997 Legislature.
