When my dad and uncles went off to fight in World War II, the only thing they wanted was to return home, be with their families, and go back to work.

Writers of recent letters to the editor have questioned the quality of education in the Northshore School District.

I have tried to not respond to Deputy Mayor Don Brocha's numerous letters, but I must reply to his letter of Sept. 16.
Public will lose with Cottage Lake Park plans
The public will lose so much by having to do mitigation for filling 2.83 acres of wetlands at Cottage Lake Park that the fill permit should be denied. As-is existing conditions are better for the public than what King County is proposing.
Christian Coalition doesn't speak for all Christians
I'm sick of the unrelenting attacks the liberal establishment makes against the Christian Coalition. Just as the Democrat Party does not speak for all Democrats, the Christian Coalition doesn't speak for all Christians.
Pastors serve the valley
The pastors in the valley are dedicated to providing programs for adults, youth, children, and families as a whole. Enrichment in the lives of young people and families is desperately needed.
Meeting the Cedar County challenge
In the past three months, dedicated volunteers gathered an additional 11,321 signatures to establish Cedar County. This number should be sufficient for Cedar County to move forward in the process of becoming an independent county.
Raising money for Cedar County effort
I want to thank my friends, relatives, and the community for their support for the garage sale I held to raise funds to contribute to the Cedar County Legal Fund.
