Gallery sponsors special Polaroid transfer class
A special class is being sponsored by FrameWright Gallery and Kenmore Camera for photographers who wish to take a step beyond simply recording images on film.
Rebecca Loveless, professional photographer and artist, will teach a class on the Polaroid transfer process by which images from slides are transferred to etching paper through the use of Polaroid film. Prints created this way have an "antique" appearance where colors are muted or images take on sepia tones. The results of this technique can be seen in Loveless' work, which is currently on display at FrameWright.
The class will be held at FrameWright on Oct. 19 from 2-4 p.m. There is a $25 fee, and advanced registration is encouraged, as space is limited.
For more information or to reserve a place in the workshop, call FrameWright at 483-7385. The gallery is located at 18104 102nd Ave. N.E., just south of Main Street in downtown Bothell.
