Bothell Parks offers variety of fall classes

Bothell Parks classes First aid and CPR classes this fall will be taught by the Bothell Fire Department at Fire Station #45, 217th St. SE and SR-527. On Oct. 3 Heartsaver CPR (adult, child, and infant CPR), $5 per person. Infant and Child CPR is Oct. 23 at a cost of $20 per person. First Aid and Adult CPR are Nov. 5 and 7. Attendance is required both nights. Cost is $35. All classes are from 7-10 p.m., and participants will receive 2-year certification cards.
   Preschoolers (ages 3-5) can learn about science in the three-day session Shh--Shh--Shh--Don't Tell Them It's Science program, offering hands-on nature experiences Tuesdays beginning Oct. 1 from 1-2pm. Fee is $12 per child. Call 486-3256 for registration.
   Icky Sticky allows children to explore textured materials that parents might not want to try at home. Five sessions, Tuesdays beginning Oct. 22, 1-2 p.m. Fee is $22 per child.
   Tae Kwon Do for ages 7 to adult: Beginning classes are held on Monday and Wednesday starting Oct. 8 at Canyon Park Junior High Cafeteria. Each session is four weeks at a cost of $40.
   Creative Memories: Learn techniques for organizing, cropping, layout, mounting, and journalizing your photos. Each session is two nights: Sept. 30 and Oct. 7; and Nov. 13 and 20, at Skyview Jr. High, from 7-9 p.m.
   Community School, sponsored by the City of Bothell, is now in operation at Bothell High on Thursday nights from 7-9 p.m. Leaded glass, volleyball, computer access (including the Internet) and career counseling are all available on a drop-in basis.
   Evergreen Hospital is offering a Family Training Project that will provide up-to-date information on health care, including when to call the doctor.
   Northshore Youth & Family Services will also be offering a parenting course for Substance Abuse Prevention.
   All programs are free to the community through a King County Grant for Partnerships for Youth & Safe Communities, sponsored by the City of Bothell, Northshore School District, Northshore/Shoreline Community Health & Safety Network, Evergreen Hospital, Northshore Youth & Family Services, and Teen Northshore.
