Northshore's International Baccalaureate Program explained
The Northshore School District will host an informational meeting on its International Baccalaureate Program Oct. 7 and Oct. 21, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Ricketts Auditorium in Bothell.
In the fall of 1997, Inglemoor High School will become one of 600 schools in 73 countries to offer an International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. The IB program is a rigorous, pre-university course of study that meets the needs of highly motivated secondary school students. It is applauded by college admissions directors for its high academic standards, its emphasis on analytical and critical thinking, and its focus on written communication.
The agenda will include general information about the program, the diploma requirements, pre-IB preparation, both academic and attitudinal, the benefits of the IB diploma, and instructions on the application procedure.
Members of the IB team and the IB Coordinator, Jeanie Yocum, will be available to respond to audience questions.
